Franz Owano
Founder
Franz Owano (Medical Doctor, Author, Publisher) He began writing seriously while still a medical student at the University of Nairobi over a decade ago. Venturing into literature as a productive outlet from the rigors of his chosen vocation. Transferring his experiences on the nature of the human condition as a medical practitioner to the world of literary fiction.
He has penned 5 plays, 4 collections of short stories, an anthology of poems, a novella and 2 novels. Ranging from the genres of contemporary fiction, African folklore, religious fantasy to historical and science fiction.
Three of his books and a 4th published under the banner of his company have been purchased by the United States Library of Congress namely: –
1.The Chief Must Die; 2021( A collection of essays and short stories by Franz Owano)
2. The Heart of a Prince;2022(A historical fiction novel by Franz Owano).
3. Simbi; 2023 (A collection of essays and short stories in which he contributed to the anthology).
4 Simians; 2023 ( A novella by George Gathiani published by the Wanderer’s Path Publishers)
He founded the Wanderer’s Path Publishers to create a safe haven for creatives stifled by the restrictions enforced by the local traditional publishers in his home country Kenya. Encouraging new entrants to the industry to find their voice.
