Wanderer’s Path Publishers is a hybrid publishing company that aims to promote diverse literary content from the communities it serves. Offering professional publishing services in the sphere of literature in addition to a monthly online magazine.
The Wanderer’s Path Magazine is a subsidiary online mini-magazine of the Wanderer’s Path Publishers. Founded to appreciate the literary works of our favorite authors both upcoming and established. local, regional and international. Past and present. Renowned and obscure. With the motive of celebrating their triumphs. learning from failures while understanding their accentricities and quirks. All in bid to immortalize the men and women behind whose words and books have not only inspired generations but hopefully may shape our society for the better.
Founder Message
Franz Owano (Medical Doctor, Author, Publisher)
He began writing seriously while still a medical student at the University of Nairobi over a decade ago. Venturing into literature as a productive outlet from the rigors of his chosen vocation. Transferring his experineces on the nature of the human condition as a medical practitioner to the world of literary fiction
He has penned five plays, four collections of short stories, an anthology of poems, a novella and two novels. Ranging from the genres of contemporary fiction, African folklore, religious fantasy to historical and science fiction.
Three of his books and a 4th published under the banner of his company have been purchased by the United States Library of Congress namely: –
- 1. The Chief Must Die;2021 ( A collection of essays and short stories by Franz Owano)
- 2. The Heart of a Prince;2022(A historical fiction novel by Franz Owano).
- 3. Simbi;2023 (A collection of essays and short stories in which he contributed to the anthology).
- 4 Simians;2023 ( A novella by George Gathiani published by the Wanderer’s Path Publishers)
He founded the Wanderer’s Path Publishers to create a safe haven for creatives stifled by the restrictions enforced by the local traditional publishers in his home country Kenya. Encouraging new entrants to the industry to find their voice.

Simians;2023(a novella he penned). He studied Writing and Film at the University of Washington St. Louis. Bringing forth a wealth of expertise.

Founded in January 2023. Since its inception 5 books have been published under the banner of the Wanderer’s Path Publishers namely:-
By Their Fruits;2023(a collection of essays and short stories), Simians;2023(a novella),Reluctant Surrender;2023(an anthology of poems), Simbi;2023(a collection of essays and short stories), Visions of Chrysalis;2024 ( a dystopian science fiction novel).
Two of the above publications have been purchased by the United States Library of Congress: – 1.Simbi;2023 (A collection of essays and short stories authored by Franz Owano, George Gathiani, Nelson Omech, Stephen Ndirang’u, Judy Kaaria & Sifa Toywa) 2. Simians (a novella penned by George Gathiani.)
The Wanderer’s Path Magazine was launched in August 2023 to celebrate the life and feats of authors both past and present while appreciating the work of writers making their mark in the present.
