The Writing Process

From Meeting to Publishing in 5 Steps

1. Meet Your Author

An initial conversation to understand your vision and prepare for the journey ahead.

2. Recorded Sessions Begin

Your author will begin to shadow you, recording interviews wherever you feel safe. Sometimes travelling with you. Both virtual and in person sessions.

3. Research & Community Interviews

Let’s put everything recorded into perspective. What contexts did we miss? What do your own words remind you of? Who else do we need to tal to?

4. Draft I & Revision I

Your complete story takes shape, with prose and structure. Then the deeper story emerges.

5. Final Draft

The Final Full Draft — Polished, complete, and ready for publishing.

I did not want to forget what growing up and surviving was like. I have my own book now. I can keep my story, and gift it to my family, or even sell it.
