Her younger daughter, Cherot, is vibrant, ambitious, and fiercely intelligent. A visionary determined to chart her own course, she refuses to relive her mother\u2019s fate.<\/p>\n
Kakut, Chepondor\u2019s husband and Cherot\u2019s father, is the embodiment of the traditional Pokot man \u2014 deeply rooted in custom, unwavering in his reverence for culture, and stubbornly resistant to change. He is determined to see his wives and daughter bow to the will of the tribe.<\/p>\n
